ELDI

ELDI

‘ELDI’ is a powerful, research-based 360 degree performance assessment, which uses the ELDIQ™ questionnaire to take candidates through 119 items in about 45 minutes. The ELDI™ draws on the observations of a candidate’s superiors, peers, and reports, as well as self-assessment to create a rich mosaic of a candidate’s potential for thinking and managing at senior levels.

The ELDI™ assesses 16 competencies which have been found to be critical to high level leadership and management effectiveness. Comparing superiors’, peers’ and reports’ views of a candidate on these competencies with the candidate’s view of himself or herself, will show clearly if the candidate has any blind spots, and if so, how significant these may be.

ELDI™ is an unusually powerful assessment because it examines both positive and negative aspects of performance. This brings into play the important issue of Emotional Development. ELDI™ also references the results to the raters’ perceptions of the relevance of the chosen competency framework – this validates the relevance of the competencies chosen. The ELDI™ software allows customisation of the 360-degree assessment. This means that it can be adapted for an organisation’s preferred competency framework, if required.

ELDI™ produces a comprehensive report that presents the results of each group of raters (self, and up to 4 superiors, 6 peers and 8 reports – present or former) graphically against each of the 16 competencies. It also provides graphical summaries to highlight any significant variations between the candidate’s self-assessment and the scores awarded by the other raters. ELDI™ makes a powerful contribution to executive development and clearly identifies behaviour that inhibits the effective working of management teams.

An optional fourth rater group to allow the assessment to include a group outside the normal 360 package of Self, Superior, Peer and Report. This is termed ‘External’. For example, downstream customers or upstream suppliers may be invited to submit their ratings too.

Candidates and their assessors download the appropriate questionnaires (ELDIQ™ Self or ELDIQ™ Others) and complete them off-line. Results are handled electronically, and can be made immediately available to the consultants, or company or organisation HR professionals who will be handling the feedback.
