John Blacklaws is a British Management Consultant and an accredited Assessment Practitioner. John has had an excellent working relationship with his many clients in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Singapore and Korea for the past twenty-three years.

John’s career has included working as a School Counsellor, and in various senior Operations, Project Management and Human Resources roles. During his career, John has conducted thousands of individual assessments, personal career counselling interviews and executive coaching sessions. He is currently retained to conduct regular assessments by some of the largest organisations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where he advises at Executive level on talent management, recruitment, selection and succession planning strategies and decisions.

With the aid of BIOSS and EDAC technology, John has helped many organisations to position themselves for sustainable talent competitiveness. This translates into designing suitable organisational structures and ensuring that these are staffed by people who are competent to identify, create and leverage opportunities to generate value for the organisation, the environment and the stakeholders on a sustained and responsible basis. In this way, John is able to help organisations to create a framework within which to meet the major talent challenges facing organisations – effective teams, engaged employees, assimilation of new technologies, workforce planning, compensation & benefits, performance management, career and succession planning, transformation and repositioning for the future, and general competitiveness.

John holds several qualifications from the Graduate Schools of Business of the Cape Town, Witwatersrand and George Washington Universities. He is an accredited Project Management Professional (PMP), an Executive Business Coach and a Chartered HR Practitioner. John is also a qualified Assessor, holding the City & Guilds D32 and D33 certifications.
