ELDI

‘ELDI’ is a powerful, research-based 360 degree performance assessment, which uses the ELDIQ™ questionnaire to take candidates through 119 items in about 45 minutes. The ELDI™ draws on the observations of a candidate’s superiors, peers, and reports, as well as self-assessment to create a rich mosaic of a candidate’s potential for thinking and managing at senior levels. The default version of the ELDI™ assesses 16 competencies which have been found to be critical to high level leadership and management effectiveness. Comparing superiors’, peers’ and reports’ views of a candidate on these competencies with the candidate’s view of himself or herself, will show clearly if the candidate has any blind spots, and if so, how significant these may be.

MCPA

MCPA is an acronym for ‘Modified Career Path Appreciation’. This assessment is an opportunity to explore your experience of, and approach to, work. You are also provided with an opportunity to reflect on your career, your aspirations and the type of work that you find challenging and stimulating.

LPA

LPA is an acronym for ‘Linked Personal Appreciation’. It measures your styles and strengths in each of 29 dimensions considered to be core to effective team and managerial functioning.

ECP

ECP is an acronym for ‘Elite Cognitive Profile’.  It measures cognitive ability, which is a valid predictor of job performance, learning ability and training success, across most, if not all, jobs.

PDA

A behavioural assessment which allows you to discover and profile your behavioural characteristics. It also allows you to evaluate the behavioural and competency requirements of a job, so that a comparison can be made about your ‘fit’ for that job.

EPP

‘EPP’ stands for Elite Personality Profile. It measures ten personality dimensions which are generally perceived to be important for a wide range of occupations. The assessment results offer detailed insights into an individual’s personality and potential job fit.

WRSP

‘WRSP’ stands for Workplace Readiness Skills Profile. This talent assessment measures ten specific skills and behavioural dimensions required of any job. The assessment is especially helpful for organisations who want to make sure they are hiring/promoting someone with a fitting set of talent attributes, applicable to the job in hand.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are these assessments for?

Individuals – who want to know what their talents, potential, capabilities are, as well as areas where they could benefit from further development.
Organisations – who want to know more about the talents, capabilities and potential of their existing staff, as well as the areas where they should invest in developing these staff members.
Organisations – who are recruiting, and who want to be more sure about the “fit” of each candidate for the roles which they are trying to fill.
Teams – who want to know how they can work together more effectively.

Assessment results are mostly used for career and development planning. They can also be used by organisations to inform the recruitment and selection, succession planning and organisational development processes and related decisions and strategies.

What is the process to be followed when organisations use these assessments?

We recommend that the following process should be followed when using assessments:-

  1.  Job Profiles are prepared by staff of the Client organisation (TML ONE can assist in identifying appropriate competencies and candidate specifications).
  2. The Client organisation notifies TML ONE to conduct assessments for the identified candidates.
  3. The Client organisation notifies each candidate that TML ONE will soon contact them regarding assessments.
  4. TML ONE invites the candidates to complete the online questionnaires.
  5. TML ONE processes the results and conducts online interviews with each candidate to verify results and provide a summary of assessment feedback to candidates.
  6. TML ONE prepares final reports on each candidate and gives these to the Client organisation.
  7. A feedback session for management is held, during which individual assessment results are discussed, and clarification can be provided.

TYPICAL TIMINGS REQUIRED

From receipt of request from the Client organisation to sending out invitations to candidates | 1 day

Candidates are asked to complete online questionnaires within | 48/72 hours

Time required by TML ONE to conduct each interview with individual candidates (depends on seniority) | 1 to 2 hours

Suggested time required for post-assessment discussions with management regarding results | 1 – 2 hours per 4 candidates

Time required by TML ONE to prepare final written assessment reports and recommendations | 3 days

At the end of the assessment process, a summary report plus a full report of assessment results on each candidate will be available for management’s attention. TML ONE will also add comments about each candidate’s strengths and areas for further development. Cautionary notes will be included where appropriate.

TML ONE will always be available for further discussion and consultation regarding any of the assessment results or candidates, if this is required.

Do you offer personal feedback sessions?

You may request to have a highly trained and accredited Assessment Practitioner discuss your results with you, via a video conference. He will answer your questions, and guide you about how to interpret and make use of your results. He will also make suggestions that could help with your personal/career development, and other coaching comments. You may book as many sessions with your Assessment Practitioner as you wish.

These optional sessions with your Assessment Practitioner will consist of a more personal and detailed feedback session, lasting approximately an hour each. These sessions will also address your own goals for your future, and how best to achieve these, using your assessment results and building on your knowledge, experience and motivation. Suggestions will be made about aspects of your assessment which may hold you back from achieving your potential and your goals, and how you can best address these to develop them.

Your Assessment Practitioner will help you to understand the types of work that will challenge and stimulate you at present (we refer to this as ‘flow’) and how this is likely to develop and mature and change over time.

In summary the assessment process provides you with information as to how you prefer to approach work and decision making as well as how this will change and develop, within the context of different levels of work, in the future.

Is the assessment process fair and valid?

We use assessments that have been thoroughly researched and tested, and have been proven to be valid, reliable, culture and gender fair tools. In fact, feedback from the majority of people who experience these assessments indicates that it is a most enjoyable and helpful process.

What about confidentiality?

To protect both yourself and ourselves, your confidentiality is assured. All data collected is handled in compliance with international data privacy standards and regulations.
